Please enjoy, these was taken a few hours ago on christmas eve with my gf. She was enjoying the scenery with me and felt bored after around 2 hours and we headed home at 10pm. No countdown for me... =( All images are taken with Canon 1000D, 15-85mm, iso100, f11, 25 - 30s, IS off, tripod. For C&C please, thanks..

Yup, all pics are added with unsharp mask at 200% and 0.6 radius, adjusted brightness and contrast.

I am using user define style, Sharpness 7, contrast 1, saturation 1, colortone 0. Most of the white balance are either Tunsten 3.2k or white fluorescent 4k.

Nice Pics! Does the Flyer in #6 looks oval or is it just me?

Yah, compare to pic 5, it looks slightly oval to me too. Could be due to the lens, it stretches at the side slightly.

Hi Kohanson,

After look thru your photo very sharp and clear! Thank for yesterday night give me some guide.. I posted some picture below. The photo look not sharp as you. Please give some comment. I'm just started using DSLR. :D

Setting: Tv Mode, ISO100, 15S, f10, IS off, with tropod, PP(UnsharpMask 200%, radius 0.6 - follow your setting)
See what wrong for my photo. It is due to my apperture only f10? And my camera sharpness setting only 5.

bro, you link wrongly, I help you re link.

1 is nice with the jetty there.. The photo is also sharp. You using tungsten for wb? ECP looks different colour compared to #3.

2 is abit blur. Is the wind strong at that time? I usually use my body to block the wind as I do not have a sturdy tripod. And try not to extend the center part if you can. Another reason could be due to wrong focusing. Maybe you focus wrongly.

3 is very sharp and nice, the exposure is perfect. when you resize the photo, did you reduce the image quality also, not sure if the web host did reduce the quality of your photos. Can see some image compression around the buildings

I usually use manual mode for night shots and monitor the exposure metering on my view finder. My picture style sharpness at 7, not sure if that will help.

Hi Kohanson,
Thank for collect my link.
In that day having strong wind. My tripod is freebies. Thank for the useful comment. I very appreciate. If compare to your photo my photo look not sharpe.
Maybe due to my sharpess only set at +5 and aperture only <f10 so make the photo not clear as you. Yes, I using Tungsten for the Jetty. I like tungsten color becoz it give the cool night view.
Next time will try again with using the user define setting for sharpness +7, contrast +1 and manual mode.

I using Picasa to upload the photo. 3 option to choose. I choosed the recommendation for sharing & printing. Not sure it will reduce the photo quality. But after go thru the pic after posting on the web it look different from my PC. The original file look more clear and sharp.

How you resize & upload your photo? Can see after you post into web still look nicer. ;-)

Again thank friend...

I have never use Picassa before and will not be able to comment. You might want to try www.flickr.com . I used photoshop to reduce the image size to 1024x XXX and save as high quality 10. You can go up to 12 but the file size will increase too.

Thank Kohanson...... i will try out

Nice photo! I just got my tripod! Gonna go marina barrage take the night scenery too :)
