Hello, mickyching. Firstly a very warm welcome to you.
And from the way you described it, it looked very likely that you are heading towards Night Safari for some night animal shoot.
Real tough job, man, this one.
1. You need a camera that can give you good quality pictures with better noise control at hight ISO - 3200, 6400 etc. Because at the night safari, no flash is allowed and your only tool is your camera.
2. To take pictures of the animals, get off the tram and start walking along the path that brings you right to the doorstep of the animal compounds. The movement of the tram makes it difficult to shoot sharp.
3. Get a good tele lens with focal length to 200mm. Example is the 18-200mm. Light and good. If you can buy a tele lens with a wider, constant aperture like the 70-200mm f/2.8 (either the Canon or the Sigma) it would be even better.
4. Just get ready your tripod and sling it along. You'll never know when you'll need it.
5. Have lots of patience.
...
My humble two-cents worth.

ISO3200 to 6400? Which cam would you recommend that can perform at that level?

Canon 40D, 50D, 7D, 5D?
Nikon D90 or betteR?

Is there any entry level Body that can perform well in ISO3200? Does that means the bigger sensor performs better in Higher ISO than a smaller sensor body like Canon 1000D or 500D?

You have some reading to do, young Padawan.... :)

Nikon D90, Sony A550, Canon 7D, 5DMkII, Nikon D3 and D700 are all good high-ISO bodies. For exact samples you'll want to look at the reviews online, such as on DPReview.

Things you should keep in mind:

1. Make sure your picture is not over or underexposed.
2. Make sure your subject is in focus.
3. Make sure you get the white balance right.
4. Make sure your battery is charged.
5. Make sure you are not using flash (if shooting in night safari).
6. Make sure you see where you are going. Don't go shoot shoot till fall into drain.
7. Make sure you bring a tripod if you have shaky hands.
8. Make sure you do not drop the camera.

Thanks! Damn.............now i starting to regret not getting the A550 in the first place :(

mm. no flash. as said before.

if it was me i'll rent primes. and use f1.8. i find 2.8 aint gonna make the cut

~.~

200mm f1.8 for canon. other brands have their own primes. u need a really fast lens.

high iso ~.~ canon 5d. and other similiar standards.

the worst is tat its expensive. ~.~ if u got the money its doable.
good luck to u bro.
