Night Macro shots from Lower Pierce

Yeah friday outing we had to use torches to find the insects.. but the experts can spot even the tiniest camouflaged insects which was quite amazing. overall, quite fun hunting for insects in the dark never knowing what you will find haha.. would like to go again if there's an opportunity :)

very nice photos, but I have one burning question. Night shoot means it'll be pitch black right? how do you find all these insects? using just a torch?

Yup, really pitch dark inside.
We use touch lights to find those little ones . . . the seniors are so pro in finding them.
The 'Green Hopper' was about 10mm or even smaller.

Without touch lights, we can't even come out from that area (short distance from a side road) . . . :)
