Alpha850/900 can also mount non full frame alpha lens . The sensor automatically crops to the apsc portion when non full frame lens are mounted. However, the alpha mount for full frame and apsc lens are the same. I am not sure if this is the case for Nikon dx and fx lens.
Rakshae is talking about a body with 2 different bayonet mounts. The inner one holding e mount the outer one holding alpha mount. Of course these are speculations .
Sonyalpharumours discussed this a while ago, apparent contax ikon has made a rangefinder in the 50s with 2 mounts on one body before. So maybe Sony is going retro to make quantum leaps again.

For Nikon FF, the DX and FX have the same F mount. if you fit Nikon DX lenses on D700, it will auto detect and you can choose to shoot in crop mode at 5.1mp (dx) or 12mp fx mode but heavy vignetting may happen depending on which dx lens. Some DX lenses (eg 35/1.8g) can have little to no vignette on D700 depending on distance of the subject.
If you fit in a third party DX lenses, it will not auto detect but some DX lenses can still be used on D700 without vignetting at certain FL. For eg Tokina 11-16mm can shoot at 16mm FX mode without vignette and my Tokina 12-24/4 can shoot at 18-24mm without vignette.
How to fit 2 mounts on one body if they have different flange distance between the mounts? The body of the e-mount lens must be able to fit "into" the A mount for it to work since e-mount has a much shorter flange reg distance. I cant imagine how it will look

leica does it other company should be able to do so....
regarding price it will be a diffrent ball game.....
im guessing leica will come with medium format M serries after this
but honnestly do we need a FF sensor or an nex body ?
The Leica S2 is a medium format digital SLR, and the price is not for the lowly...
The only issue I see with this proposed camera from Sony is how the heck are E-mount lenses supposed to focus at infinity unless the lens sticks right inside the camera.

Think this hybrid is mirrorless and non slt. Potentially on sensor pdaf technology for af to be blazing fast

No. The problem is flange distance. Unless you want all your NEX lenses to become macro lenses, you have to somehow stick the E-mount lenses right through the Alpha mount to reach the sensor.
Sorry to say this but full frame will make 'mini dslr' a joke. I can imagine how clumsy n dumb it will look.
I don't even feel comfortable when handling current nex system, I think it will be worse on full frame hybrid.
Might as well use a proper dslr.
The good thing about mount systems is that you can changes lenses for different purposes.
So how many full frame lenses can you bring outdoor for a nex camera?
Don't tell me u only restrict yourself to one lens no matter what?
Then you will miss out quite alot of shooting opportunities as compared to something smaller and lighter.

Depending on the situation, but if on my own, I will carry my NEX plus 28f2.8 ais, 50f1.2 ais, 105f2.5 ais and Pentax M 200f4. The 200f4 is lighter than the 105f2.5. If I go out with my children and grand child, then the kit lens 18-55 plus the 105f2.5 ais. You are a Nikon user and should know how much smaller the ais lenses are over your Nikon AF lenses. If there is a NEX FF, it won't be much bigger than the NEX 7, otherwise, I won't buy it, hybrid or not. You are not a NEX user, so your comments are completely out of line.
Not everybody wants full frame Megapixels plus the resulting computing power and storage to work with them.
I guess you haven't notice the large numbers of folks bypassing DSLRs and going for compact inter-changable lens systems then ?
