Agree 100%.
While checking ISO performance on another alpha model, I noticed that while there was only a small amount of difference between ISO 100 and ISO 200, ISO 125 and ISO 160 actually looked worse than ISO 200. Same thing between ISO 200 and ISO 400; 250 and 320 are worse than ISO 400!
I wonder if that's why the in-between ISO settings come up in auto but are not user-selectable in your cam. Maybe Sony figures that their target users of the product won't notice the difference.
