Try SLR Revolution at Funan. Recommended by a friend. Never bought any from this shop.
I do suggest, go online, search for these shops and try call before going.
Called up SLR Revolution. Out of stocks as well... Called Parissilk but no answer... Sigh. I still thought I could get the cam today and try to familiarize the controls during a BBQ session tmr night before I go India next month...
Any sifu here knows of any shop tt still has stock of A33 at a reasonable price?

Just got my hands on a A33 kit lens. Amazed at the IQ even when set at auto. Gonna try hard to master the functions of the camera!
I just got thru to Parissilk@ Holland V.
They still have 4 sets A33 w/ kit lens.
Was quoted on the phone for S$989 cash.
Unable to ask if they will give discount if i'm getting another lens...
he cut me off the phone before giving me a chance to ask another question...
the guy on the phone seemed rushed...
So sifus, the price seems ok at the Parissilk.
My questions are is their reputation ok?
Do they carry other a-mount lens?
lastly, any sifu here wanna go buy the camera with me this evening?
I might just get the camera with kit lens, and you could get a discounted lens (if they do purchase w purchase)
If you stick to the reputable shops and authorised dealers you should be ok. I would avoid at all costs any of the shops with unknown or not so good reputation. (You can scan forum for what these shops are)
Best if you can get a friend who knows cameras to assist you to check. If not you can watch youtube for the unboxing videos of the camera you want to observe what you get with the box. Make sure you are familiar with all the accessories so that you won't have to make another wasted trip if something is accidentally omitted.
Otherwise, do a simple check on all the camera functions to make sure that its okay and check that all parts like the LCD, swivel etc are all working well and smoothly. If anything doesn't look or feel ok, don't be afraid to ask and don't be rushed into completing the deal.
If you also want basic accessories for the camera, a screen protector is a good investment, and get a simple multicoated filter for your lens. I would recommend Kenko or Hoya Multicoated UV. Should cost you around 20-30 SGD for 1 and you can use it protect your lens. Get two if you are getting a dual lens kit. If you good at bargaining, maybe get them to throw it in hehe
<<O_O>> I'm so blur.. u buy liao lol. Anyways I'll leave this post here in case any other newbies need some basic advice : P
Enjoy your new camera!Post some pics soon!
Try to pick up a basic filter (either Hoya or Kenko Multicoat) if you don't have one on your kit lens now. Just a small insurance against any lens damage when you bring your camera out more. Have fun!
