was dead set on getting the white but the white turn out to be more grainy and lack the faux leather look.

got it..funan ..Retro silver..HN quote $925..when I reply say upstairs 85x cash and 86x credit..they ask supervisor and say can match price..used my $100 nsmen voucher..paid 778 with

Wow! I am also upgrading from GX1 to GM1 for my wife. Mainly due to its size. I am also thinking of getting the silver one. Can you tell the difference between those two cameras in terms of focusing speed and IQ?

You will not see this upgrade better than what you have now. Not to say that the GM1 is not capable but the 20mm is probably one of the best you can have. Unless you buy the kit and swap out with 20mm. Than you'll bring compactness and IQ to a new level!

do take note that 20mm doesn't have built-in IS. you may want to stick with the kit lens

took it out for family outing MBS to merlion and back...when i had GX1, i usually carry only 20mm because my 12-50(olympus ) and 14-45(pana)kind of "bulky" and average IQ..today hardly felt the camera in my bag..quite happy so far http://www.flickr.com/photos/23318005@N08/sets/72157638686897365/
