You should just work with the RAW files. No issues with compression then.

I do happen to work with raw. Just that i would appreciate having better jpeg files when it does such a good job with colours only to compress to an inferior quality. Raw files would take some additional effort to bring it up to similarly nice colours and tone.

Go Hong Kong buy lor. HK prices has always been low even at launch time (US price direct convert, sometimes with more discount)

I buy all my fuji gear from HK, best part international warranty ! (I go Tin Cheung or Wing Shing)

Actually heading to China in June. Contemplating whether to stop over at HK. But I pretty much have all the lens I need.
I think price in Japan is the best but no international warranty. Am told Bangkok Fuji price also good.

Was Comte,playing getting one for myself as it is light and versatile and especially useful if I need more POV and feeling lazy to carry a bunch of lens.

I know version one is passable if you shoot JPEG only. There are horrible distortions in raw.

The XC16-50 II is an improvement from the original XC16-50, and to me mainly in its shorter min focusing distance to suit X-A2's selfie feature. IQ wise I didn't see much significant difference between both versions and I really prefer the XF18-55 more end of the day.

Taking the Japan prices of about $1.2-1.3K for 16-50 kit, I think the SG launch price should be $200+- more, possible $1.6K thereabouts. With that I think picking up a X-T1 is a better choice.

Probably not , X-T1 will drop after X-T2 is released

Tokyo street price is JPY87K body only and ¥116K with kit lens. Around $900 & $1.2K respectively after tax refund.

I see it as the amount of magnification , X-T10 is 0.62x while the X-T1's is 0.77x.
