Actually is can shop without being physically there. But one needs to type in 'www.ebay.com' and search for the desired lens. Otherwise, one can choose to type in the email addresses of these shops and get an e-quote. But again, one needs to take the effort to log into email, type in the email addresses and ask how much does it cost. Hahaha.

actually all lenses can be used for landscape... its depending on how one plans to use it and personal habits.

Here people do love to help. But its not really correct to ask for best prices here. Anyway, shops do quote diff people diff prices. I have friends who their faces is the VIP card for the shop while my face is worthless lol.

that's norm lol. A Leica M240 leaves the shop at >$10,000 and sells for $6xxx now if u r lucky. U check and u don see anyone putting a asking price for M9 anymore. Most lenses like the XF56, XF23, XF14, XF10-24 retain their values well. I've seen people who are lazy to check the shops and end up paying close to brand new prices for second hand pieces. some lens like the XC16-50, XC50-230, U might be better off keeping them in your dry cabinet lol. XF18 and XF35's prices crashed as Fujifilm offered them as freebies at one point but have now stabilised, especially XF35's - people know its a good piece of glass. anymore info, go check and study yourself. Its a lesson anyone should take up if u wana deal in BnS.

I think what Keith said is right also.
Different customers will get different prices based on how 'vip' they are. So it may not be so useful to have the prices here. If it becomes too open next time the 'vip's won't get to enjoy perks for being regular customers. My 2 cents

Prices may vary for some shops, but it won't be like $1000 for Person A and $600 for Person B huge. For the X-T10 preorder prices won't vary much unless it's a $10 or $20 trill one is seeking.

I remember being quoted RRP for a lens at Harvey Norman Funan last time and it was a straight few hundred off when I asked them to match the price upstairs and it was my first time there.

Just asking around in a trip in funan helps a lot.

Looks good for those who just want the standard barebones box.

USD800 , aka around SGD200 cheaper than SG prices assuming u don pay postage and escape GST. I checked, they don ship this direct to SG so u need to find your own forwarder.

But that means the buyer will lose out on all the promo items like grip, case, battery , cards and photo walk etc.

normally the VIPs will be street smart enough not to disclose the special pricing otherwise will definitely get the sales person/shop into trouble. And the so-called e-quote prices are also the same offered to all customers who call/ask. Nowadays shops are also wary when giving equotes in case customers misuse them.

nowadays retailers have a sophisticated strategy to market their product launch so as to create perceived scarcity/exclusivity so that not just the typical early adopters, but more of the general considered, will yearn and desire to own the product)
