I am not a "sifu" by any means but I will probably be bringing along the TS-E 17L, 35L, 85L and 70-200L and the 5D Mark II.

kit lens la!

"si fu" have a lot of "gong fu", so use kit lens also can take wonderful shots...!

Seriously, the kit lens is all that's needed for decent photos! Most shots are stopped down from the lens' maximum aperture, so should be well-within the kit lens' capabilities.
When you reach a particular standard where perspective is critical, then perhaps a TS-E lens is valuable.

Yes I agree. The Seniors' main role is to share and guide and not indulge in himself happily changing lens and shooting. We are there to mainly guide and share our experience. & knowledge

So hopefully those seniors who signed up are clear about this objective as stated by Zerocool.

I think there are things which can be shared, things which can be observed and things which can bring back home and come back a 2nd, 3rd time to try because couldn't get it right the first time.

Most of the time I may be taking LE shots so there'll be 1-2mins where I'll be doing nothing but waiting for shot completion. Otherwise I would be expecting to do some shoots myself; afterall, it's not often I get to come out at night.

Fortunately yesterday was a good day for me, and I managed to get half my required shots already so I won't be so rushed to get my shots in also (it's not a very long outing, being one hour only).

I supposed fuji meant that this outing should be Newbies Outing and not Gear-heads Outing, lest we spread the oft-perpetuated myth that better equipment = better pictures.
