Hi guys, this is my first time shooting at night. Went to i Light Marina Bay to see the beautiful exhibits and here are a few photos. I played around with the white balance, but still don't know how to improve so please give your feedback thanks! :)

Photos taken with a Panasonic G2 and 14-42 kit lens, supported on tripod.

Thank you for the kind comments :) Actually with the exception of #1 which I took two Saturdays ago, the rest of the photos were taken on Friday night! Yep it was pretty crowded but I think by the time I reached the colourful men exhibit it was after 10 so the crowd had subsided a bit.

I waited quite a while to get a photo relatively void of people haha ;)

 nice shots!!!

5 and 9 pic was very creative.. i really like it.

Wow your comments are too flattering! :embrass: But thank you for your appreciation!

#5 was a candid shot. I spotted the couple and decided to try my luck - surprisingly this shot came out well without much blur even though I had set the camera to a 1 second shutter-speed haha!

My photog buddy who went with me that night thought #9 was nice too! Shall keep working on it :D

Thank you ngck12 for helping me reply. lcjclhx I used ISO 200 with different exposure bias levels for the various photographs.

no 5 i likey!!! =) got the moment!!!

Thanks haha! Was really lucky!

Did you use photoshop to touch-up?

I like 4,5 and 9.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I like #1 and #5.
Nice take for a newbie.
Need to pay attention like #4 when the foreground is brighter than the background. It make the background darker.

I feel nothing interesting in the skies of #7. Maybe can show more of the water reflection.

Keep up and enjoy shooting :)

Nope no PP done at all. I don't have Photoshop :( I only rotated one or two photos because my camera was slightly titled on the tripod.

I like 4,5 and 9.

Thanks! Glad you liked it :)

Thanks for the comments! For #4 I was focusing on the blue lights, so didn't concentrate on the background :embrass: For #7 the photo was taken at the maximum height of the tripod. So I had to crop out the railing below, very unfortunate as I had wanted to focus more on the water but limited by the tripod's height

Will keep practising!
