welcome, make sure you research where and price of the camera you are planning to buy.. Singapore dollar has became pretty expensive nowadays.

With regards to purchasing camera gear from Singapore, do find out what is the street price of the items you are looking for. Do Not be conned into buying additional stuffs such as filters, additional batteries and lens converters recommended by the salesperson.

Try to bring along a local friend if you have one to lower your chances of getting 'chopped' by certain shops.. in general, avoid sim lim square unless you really know what you are doing..
