Newbie seeking for advice on Flash unit

Hi I'm looking for a good and hopefully not too expensive flash unit for wedding dinner photos. My budget is around $250 and I looking out for TTL flash instead of manual flash. Any recommendations? Thanks all.

what camera system r u using?

if u wan cheap, source for 2nd hand....

or get 3rd party like nissin etc
most flash r auto-ttl with manual functions available

your current budget only allows you for 1st hand 3rd party flash or 2nd hand nikon/canon.

Hi thanks for the reply I'm using a canon 550D. I'm actually aiming to buy the Nissin Di622 II, is it a good flash unit?

nissin is decent, if u can afford, get the di866

or, u can get a 430 exII, which might b over ur budget.

check ard. for flash, get 1 which u can bounce the flash off ceiling.

Why not try renting 1st before buying?

Depends on the rental price which I didn't check, let say the rental is $50 which is 20%-25% of the price of one than i think is better to just buy it.

YN flash also quite good, YN-468II or YN-565 both are TTL and within budget

I have the YN565EX, bought from artworkfoto. I love that flash, it is more powerful than my 430exII and is cheaper too... around S$2xx.
