Hi everyone, hoping to get a litle advice here..

I'm a newbie and currently using the Fujifilm Finepix F470..
I am not a professional photographer whatsoever, and use my digicam solely to capture moments with my family and friends, beautiful scenery at places I go etc..

I am looking for a new camera at this moment, and a friend of mine recommended I get a Canon or Nikon consumer cam..

1) I have very shaky hands and I prefer to take pictures without flash if I can help it. However, I cannot even move an inch (which is hard, that's why a lot of my pics turn out very blur). I'm looking for a cam that can rectify this problem somewhat

2) However, flash mode makes my pics look very unnatural, as everyone's face is too white and the background can hardly be seen at all.

3) I love to take close up of items as I think it makes them look good as well. And a camera with many modes does sound good.

Can anyone recommend me a good consumer camera based on my requirements? :)

Browse through http://www.dpreview.com/ to find one that suits your requirements. You'll also have to take ergonomics of the camera into consideration. :)
