Forget about the night scene mode when taking the moon. Although its night, the moon is bright. Use Manual exposure and set F8, and adjust the shutter speed until you are happy with what you see in the EVF. This was how I took the moon :

If you understand what the modes does, than its ok to use it.....if not, it may not let you get what you want.

For the moon, try manual exposure and adjust the apeture and the shutter yourself. The EVF will show the effect immediately and allow u to take what you want to achieve
