Reportage Senior Member May 22, 2010 #3 supposedly if can shoot, flash in most cases is not allowed. most museums also do not allow tripods. so all thats left is ISO and the lens you use. if the item you are interested in is quite popular, save the effort and grab a postcard of it at the gift shop.

dingaroo New Member Jun 2, 2010 #8 If artifact is behind glass, never shoot perpendicular to the glass, shoot it at off-angle, like 30degrees to the glass so you won't have much reflection. HTH. Cheers
