hi guys, i would like to know what is the cheapest DSLR that i can get, second hand ones i dont minds, as i also have my budget limitations. would like to start a new hobby. most of the times i always use P&S cameras... would like to learn how to produce better photos with manual settings...

can i know:

- the cheapest second hand but good DSLR,
- what lens should i get for a newbie,
- and how much is the total price, roughly?

Since I did a brief research on Canon dslr recently for a friend, let me share the info I gathered.

1- Pre-owned Canon 300D + kit lens (18-55mm) from B&S Section can get between $350-500.
2- Pre-owned Canon 350D + Kit lens (18-55mm) from B&S Section can get between $400-550.
3. Pre-owned Canon 400D + Kit lens (18-55mm) from B&S Section can get between $550-750.

Note:
- would be good if lens is 18-55mm IS (otherwise 18-55mm non-IS)
- at times seller would include CF card (otherwise shop (eg. Mustafa Centre sells 2GB at S$18))
- at times seller would include camera bag, it is good for you.(Otherwise, can try your luck ask him/her)
- some seller even include extra-batteries/Shutter-release control (saw that in B&S for 300D with 2 lens)
