newbie help on photoshop cs

I've installed a copy of Photoshop cs, but whenever I start it, it shows "Your monitor profile seems to be defective, rerun your monitor calibration software"...etc but I could still continue after clicking on "cancel".. does anyone encountered the same problem ? or how to solve it, thanks

Try running adobe gamma and adjust it? Then save the profile again.
