Generally, the same type of filter will be more costly, the larger it gets..

Was trying to sell 1 from the sale person when I wan to get
A Hoya filter.
Bt didn't notice that the brand as will so still stick to my Hoya.
And the sigma filter is more costly as will.

Zeikos filters should be made in China. The brand is a USA brand, but they OEM most of their stuff from China.

Zeiko filters are made in china. Hoya UV (O) is made of optical glass with UV block features, UV (C) is coated optical glass without UV Block.

It really depends on how you want to use your GND.
Do you prefer slot in filters or screw on filters?
What camera are you using?
What is the widest lens you will be using the GND with?
What is your budget?

Thank you for responding. I would like a basic GND filter, for contrasty situation for eg sunrise / sunset situations, for landscape photography. I prefer a more accurate rendition, without adding any color cast. I realise there are hard, soft GND. there are glass and plastic. There are different colors / cast as well, grey, resin. I am not sure if Grey is the default. I could not find GND 8 or GND 4 on B+H website. I find there are GND 0.3, 0.6, 0.9. I assume GND 8 and GND 0.9 are the one with the darkest shade.

What is a good starter GND Filter?

I prefer a slot in filter. One qn: is filter holder brand specific, meaning if i have cokin filter, i only get a cokin filter holder?
I m currently using nikon d7k. Is GND camera specific?
The diameter of my lens is 67mm. I have been advised a bigger slot-in filter would cater to my growing needs, should I acquire a lens with bigger lens diameter.
Budget wise, I would like to knw how much money shld I get ready to spend on a starter decent performance GND and holder cost. For reference, I use Hoya HD filters / CPL. B+H website shows me brands, for eg Cokin, Hitech, B+W, Heliopan, Tiffen etc. I dont know which is a good recommendation. Their Hoya 's biggest size is only 58 mm.

First thing first, if you read the section about GND, you will know that GND0.3 = 1 stop GND = GND2. GND0.6 = 2 stops = GND4. and likewise GND0.9 = 3 stops = GND8.

Camera matters because if you are using a FF camera, you will need larger slot in filters for the same focal lengths. The larger sensor will also require a larger filter for the same FOV as a crop sensor camera.

For now, 85mm filters will work for you since 67mm filter thread probably mean you are not using a UWA lens. But once you move to UWA lenses, some of those lenses will vignette with 85mm filter holders.

So for a tighter budget with no UWA lenses: Cokin P series standard holder + Tianya/Cokin filters. (85mm)
For tigther budget with UWA lenses: Cokin P wide angle holder + Tianya/Cokin filters. (85mm)
If have budget: Lee or Hitech holder + Hitech ND and GND filters. (100mm width).

Noticed Red Dot Photo carry Phottix CPL filters, rather competitive price too. Has anybody tried out the brand, any comments / feedback on the pics taken with this brand of filter.
