For eg. I'm 42 this year, but I still wish to think that I'm only 25 this year. Haha... :bsmilie:

Just wondering can we use the name Clubsnap Photography Club since we are all from Clubsnap and I think there is no groups using this name? if not how about Clubsnap Photographers, Club Snappers. I feel that the word Newbies is good in attracting members who are either new or mid level members who are willing to learn but are shy to join any group (like me :embrass . It also set the mood right for members to come in and ask any questions and learn, no matter how basic it can be.

To great extend I do agree with you that since we all are from Clubsnap, somewhat the outing or group or club we newbie wish to have should relates back to CS.

However, personally, I do prefers that this outing or group can continue to name as Newbies Outing, cause only then we can attract more newbies to join us, and I guess those really newbies will not be too shy to join us since we are all newbies, though some already move on the next level...

And I think that's the whole purpose of this group or outing, which is to let newbies to gather to learn and share from each other, to make friends. Then among us there will be those who are more experienced and they can guide the newbies accordingly during the outing.

In this case, how about the proposed group name goes this way:

"I'm a newbie photographer" Group/Club/Outing

The name does not matter, it is the spirit of helping out newbies and for the "old birds" to share their knowledge and experiences that counts :thumbsup:

To all , the Gathering of the the last two has being quite sucessful and focus of what the group was aiming for .like what was being said before , the objective of the group was meant for all newbie who are lost and shy to come forward and join us so that we can learn and share with each other. since the last two gathering and the coming one , i can notice that there are many new people coming along to join us , again a big welcome to all if u have just join us .Oh before i forgot those member who has being with us since day one without u people this group would not have being sucessful ...Thank u . As for the name we can think of somthing that connected to newbie . as that the objective of the group .

newbie in photography... i'm one of the newbie in the 2nd gathering.
initially was shy and didn't dare to ask. lastly, plucked up courage to ask one of the bros there about how to make good night shots. They are friendly, willing to share and teach you.

I was guided, and things were explained to me like what f/stop to use, and how to compose your shots etc...

so don't worry... come join us!!!
