Newbi question about DX

but I get what Skywalker was driving at .. that certain focal lengths have a certain degree of 'distortion' to them?

Hi there, that was what I thought too... I don't think I'll have a chance to test it out since I ain't got the dough at the moment and ain't got no FX camera too... But if you're using say a 50mm on a FX and a 35mm on a DX, you might have slight distortion but there was a previous thread on this:

However, it seems that if the lens has been built well, we might not pick up the distortion...
