Starry Night
www.pbase.com
Thought it would be a serene trip back to the land of the Hobbits... But my travelling plans were disrupted due to the massive earthquake which shook Christchurch last September...

But thankfully, I travelled out of Christchurch just before the earthquake arrived... so these following photos were the result of some major change of plans... Enjoy...

Christchurch... the night before the earthquake...

1) Alpacas... same family of animal as the Lamas...

2) Sakura in NZ...

3) Alpaca grazing in the setting sun...

More to come...

Love the Alpacas in #1. Did you went during winter time? Or after the quake during spring?

pretty! colours are natural.

Shooting against the sunlight accentuated this effect... made the alpacas cuter doesn't it :)

It was spring in September but was still kind of cold... The earthquake hit on the 2nd night I was there...

Thanks nikkie...

5) On the way towards Lake Tekapo...

Twisel Town (400km south of Christchurch, near Mount Cook)

7) The farmhouse that I stayed in... Though I was 400km away from Christchurch, the tremour of the 7.1 magnitude earthquake could be felt here in the wee hours of the morning...

Hi just curious, what lens are you using? =))
Prime or zoom?

Anyway love your composition and framing.

:D the sunlight really helped to make the alpacas cuter. :bsmilie:

No sure if you still can recall your set up for that shot? And if you know the exif data. :D good reference point..
