Love the mood and feel of the photos.... excellent street photography! :)

BTW, does anyone know whether it is possible to replicate the "cross processed" look with photoshop?

Nope, as I mentioned before, these were achieved through a custom curve that attempts to mimic the effects of actual cross-processing of film with slide chemicals.

kng, I provided the url to the action that I used to achieve the effect. Try those out.

i do quite a lot of post processing for my shots and dis comes real close to wat i always do anyway. the actions are a godsend.
anyway... post more if u have them

Great work. The photographs captured not just the perspective but more importantly the New Yorkers mood and attitude. One look and u know that's in New York.

love the mood and feel. Thanks for sharing.

Hi data1ore,

I love all your street shots.
Some of my favourites are:

"Mounted policeman on Times Square"
"Nights on Broadway"
"Firemen of NY"
"Mexican in the Subway"

How did you take "Mexican in the Subway".
Did he know you took his shot?

Nope it was a totally candid shot. I held the camera at about my waist level, swung to 24mm on my 24-70 and agar-agar the composition, looked away and clicked with a policeman behind me (apparently photography wasn't allowed in subways after Sept 11, but the ban was lifted days after I left, according to news reports).
