i agree that the Bessa R / R2 series would be the best way to experience rangefinder shooting. Bessa Rs should be quite cheap now, and add a cheap f2.5 35mm skopar (?), and you'll be on your way. it's also the cloest thing to using a Leica M (some say it's BETTER....) and provides a platform for you to upgrade in future......
the Bessa R2 / R3 can also take Leica M lenses directly btw.
