The above thread started by "Da an" in Newbies Corner has gone missing.
Can the member asks that the active thread be deleted?

Even user search found him missing.

Maybe the mods terminated him? Which is a good thing considering what a spoilt brat he is.

Isn't it always the case? Newbie asks a question in clubsnap. The 'senior' (in being a forumer) get sarcastic and rude and shoot Newbie down. Newbie retaliates. Everybody points finger at newbie and says he's rude, disrespectful, idiotic, spoilt etc. Mods delete the thread.

Is this really what the 'senior' want clubsnap to be seen as?

IMO. Agree with Rains above. Clubsnap is, relatively, less friendly to newbies than other hobby enthusiast sites I frequent. Yes Google is there, as are the forum's FAQs; and the forum requests new persons to check those before posting their first questions. But when they do not, the level of impatience sometimes demonstrated I think can be really off-putting to e.g. people like myself who come to Clubsnap to enjoy what is supposed to be a friendly ambiance.

Everyone of us started from zero. From a newbie to experienced photographer, as the knowledge and skills advances, so is the personal ego. This however, does not applies to everyone out there. There are still 'senior' members who are photographers themselves, will help new ones. Positive critics are good for improvements same goes to negative remarks are not always bad.

When we do critics, find good points out out those bad areas and comment on the negative parts. After that compliments the good areas which you identified earlier to encourage the new ones. Keep the tone of reply down in order not to confuse anybody. This is not just communications, it's effective communications.

Finally, through self study and research then practical, everyone will learn - not just the new ones, even we, so called 'seniors' in CS are learning from the new ones too.
