bro, he has kwanon setup la. meaning he has more kwanon len. how to use on s5pro? only neekun len can be use on most blands, not the other way round. unless he sells away kwanon:D n adapt nikon f-mounts.:dunno:

just ask him get S5 Pro and a couple of basic lenses. that's how i started off my journey from canonland.

Alamak.... there isn't a Canon to Nikon adapter in the market. Not a solution after all. :embrass:

its ok bro....we all make mistakes. old liao cannot be helped. :bsmilie:

Thanks for the old birds replies.

I was actually considering a s5pro with the tamron 17-50 setup, after all the crop factor has been accounted into, i get quite a comfortable 25-75; almost like the 24-70 f/2.8 on canon except its cheaper (if 2nd hand) and the colors will be god-like.

So what do the bros here think?

Going to tag along this thread as I am also a new bird owner to a S5 pro. currently using 18-55mm lens for testing and will be upgrading to 50mm f1.8 soon

Good choice but u will not get the god-like color... only certain nikkor lenses or "cow sai" lenses u get that color

Hi everyone,

I just bought a S5Pro. Very new to Fuji. (I was previously a Nikon user) Hope to share my Fuji pics with you guys soon. Do drop me your comments too. =)

Hmmm oh I am currently using a 18mm to 105mm. The standard lens that you get from Nikon purchases. Still saving up for the rest.

Hey peeps,

Where do you buy S5 and how much is it now. I live in the States, I wanted to know if its cheaper to buy it in Singapore. Thanks..

No Hit on my search for 'Macro' on this thread.
Does any Fuji's S5 Pro user shoot macro and have any advise?

in sg it's about S$1.1k. not sure about ur end. word of caution..... it's hard to get one nowadays in sg so i'm not sure it's worth your time to get it in sg.

I rarely shoot macro. But if you like to shoot subjects like insects or flowers, the S5 Pro is ideal because of its great colors. ;)

Just to update the bros here, I'm officially a FUN member now.

Decided to go double mount, which means I kept my canon setup and have selected lens for Fuji

Currently using the s5pro with the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 and the Sigma 30mm f/1.4HSM =)

Cheers to fuji!

Glad to see there's a few of us doing this to exploit the benefits of each system. During a cousin's wedding a few days ago I shot with both a Canon and Fuji system. It was excellent indeed, and it was great to have two cameras anyway to avoid switching lenses during the shoot. Never had any issues with the 'slow' FPS of the Fuji either, even though it was probably shooting at just over 1 FPS in 400% DR mode.

Hi Bro, I agreed strongly that my uncle's "Cow Sai" & "Vot-lander" lens can bring very vibrant colour. But my normal consumer range of Nikon Lens that failed to impress me in few occassion. Possible to enlighten me on the Nikon len that can bring out the "god like" colour.

Possible to enlighten me on the Nikon lenses that can bring out the "god like" colour.

Some older AIS lenses can. However, they are not on-par with the latest 'Cow Sai' and 'Wok Lender' in term of optical performance.

Thanks:) Saving up for the 58mm "wok lender"..... $ hard to earn nowadays... chii should give discount to clubsnap member;)

I have just been poisoned by a Voigtlander 58mm.....one bro was shooting with Nikon 38mm and Voigtlander 58mm on his S5, when he show me the difference, I stayed away from the bro for the rest of the shoot:sweat:........the force is too strong with this one!!

Almighty, I shoot macro with S5, go to my flickr.

Cheers
