* but I agree with you... film will still be used in this field for some time at least.

NIceeeee..

But the US legal system will need another numbers of years to fight it out in legislation to make it usable in forensics... and you know how "fast" legislation in the states are. :bsmilie:

curiously why the CSI seems to be using dslr?? fiction?

Crime scene got no knife...wait lets PP that one in... there!! He is confirmed murder suspect! No more wild goose chase... lets go for holiday now, yeah!! ;)

See the logic?

To skeptics of film, its hard to explain the fun behind film not to mention the higher image quality with a competent scanner and without editing (digital imperfections). Try shooting film and u will understand what the rest mean. U might nt be able to adapt after using digital for so long. Yes, digital has same sensor as 35mm, but at wat cost? Nt sth i can afford. :embrass:

Professionals now use digital due to market demand of instant results and fast paced society, changing as times change but change does not equate new does not equate progess does not equate better. I personally do shoot digital as well as film though, joy of film too poisoning.
And yes, forensics are still using film. CSI? Hmm, i wouldnt be drawing conclusions from a serial drama though i personally enjoy watching it alot. Saw the advert for CSI exhibition at science center. Might go take a look. ;)

How did qn on FM escalate to these? :bsmilie: lets not OT too much :nono:
