i think what TS is asking if it's possible to change the preset "daylight white balance" from 5100 to 5500, or rather, being able to edit the daylight preset values.

Hey thanks. I'll go try. Why can't they make it simpler and just let me adjust day light to 5500?

so based on the source of information that you read, daylight at say... 730 in the morning is the same colour temperature as daylight at 12noon? What if the sky is slightly cloudy? Hazy perhaps?
