Everything comes back in a full circle. Amazing magic trick that Sony did to us. These 'new' lenses are the same size as other Canon/ Nikon lenses. We were all hooked because the initial 35mm F2.8 and 55mm F.18 looked like future lenses were gg to be smaller... but years later proved that you cannot beat physics! haha

The (weight)saving grace that Sony has is their clean ISOs. Trading ISO for F-stop is the game I'm playing to keep from lugging bazooka-sized 70-200mm f2.8 lenses around. Using slow zooms like the 24-240mm is only feasible because the A7S?II's incredible low-light performance. Whereas F6.3 would result in snow storm on lesser sensors.
What I would love for Sony to do is a few slow FE pancake primes like 12mm f5.6.
The ultimate compact solution from Sony would be an APS-C version of the A7S sensor in a new mirrorless, paired with slow pancake primes for cropped sensor.
Sony can make a killing by making these with cheap plastic and selling them at a premium and consumers would be happy with the convenience and performance!
(Until Yongnuo starts getting into the E-mount game. haha)
