looks pretty good

any sample pics from this lens on FF?
other sites gave mixed reviews

indeed look tempting, it seems nikon body with non-nikon lens look quite good nowadays :)

cheers

yeah... forgot to see page 1.
went to AP Funan, was quoted 1.6k and weight almost the same as nikon but shorter.
also didnt like the fact that filter size is 82mm!

hmmmm 1.6k? thats a very high price! weird....u could try Mscolor, equote was 1475. anyway, i liked the fact that it was much shorter than the nikon version. filter size was a bummer ya....but it seems 82mm filters are coming down in price ha...bought from OP a kenko low profile digital multi-coat 82mm filter, only $55, not that ex la......i think.

do you have any more shots taken with this on your D700?
PM me your website if you have one.....

ha i do have more shots, but they are more of portraits of my friends that i probably won't be posting publicly, but i will see what other samples i can post hehe...

Think the last PC show sigma agent selling at ard 1.5k... interested in the lens too...
anyone can post more shots and how is the front/back focusing issue for the lens?

front and back focusing are individual body and lens dependant, what's perfect on my camera could be front/back focused on yours. in any case, my copy appears to be perfect in terms of focus accuracy. ha....have more pics of my cat if ppl are interested :p

yes pls post yr cat pic ricleo :)

cheers

non-hsm is totally a different model... older design, poorer optics.

this HSM is in a class of its own.

Wow.. tempting.

Nice cat u have there.... the len is great... dunno how is the pic quality compared to the canon version?
