WOw... very nice pictures... Thanks! I have a GF1,... dunno if can take pictures like this.....

bro how much you pay for your basic kit set?

got mine dual lens kit $1240 (14-42 + 40-150) at MS yesterday, also come with a free SD8GB & a monopod.

the Oly adaptor & the Oly 40-150 4/3 lens already worth more than the extra $$$.

for the dual lens kit it come with the NEW Olympus Four Thirds Adapter MMF-2, the MMF-2 adapter already worth $300 over. Cos the second is the Oly 40-150 4/3 lens, so it will need the MMF-2.

basci kit set with 14-42 $940.

OIC. That's like buying the MMF-2 adaptor and getting the 40-150mm for free!

Well, that's how I ended up with this option (E-PL1-Dual-lens-kit+MMF-2) bcos it's very worth it lor...

In fact, I was trying out/comparing both EP-2 and E-PL1, but went for the latter bcos (hmm...:dunno: is it me having this 'feel' or what...) I somehow found that pics that I tested with both 'Standard+Tele' lenses at 1/15 - 1/8 was kind of having more successful-stabilized-rate on E-PL1 than EP-2:think:(perhaps it's the 'better-grip', that's how I landed with my:heart:E-PL1)

enjoy it. cos it is small & light like a PnS, i never left it at home. esp now i have brought the penny 20 F1.7, I like it even more. At first i thought of giving my wife for daily use, but end up she no chance to use it yet.:bsmilie:

Yeah, certainly (enjoy using it) also more than agree cos why I chosen to buy E-PL1 was bcos of:-

1) Somehow like the design of "lines/positions of logos/button-layout as well, of the front and back views of this "babe" (yes, individual preferences...;))

2) cos it is small & light like a PnS &/or Prosumers...

3) Built-In Image-Stabilizer as this feature (to me) I can really 'ENJOY' the freedom using/transform just "ANY-LENS" into an IS/VR/VC/OS/OIS lenses:thumbsup:right??

4) The "Wireless-Flash"-built-in "Commander" has been something that I've been yearning for on such small+light=>"System" and don't forget that it can bounce ( of cos to a certain extend...which to me is good enough than without bounce as you know the resultants of a "Direct-flash"...agree??

5) Most IMPORTANTLY, the Micro-4/3-lenses:bigeyes: even their Ultra-Wide-Angle and Tele-lenses are as smal-sizes & light-weight too( imagine carrying other system Wide+Tele-lenses, be it for "Everyday-Carry" &/or "during Travels"=>especially, agree...??

6) Is that (me too) I've grown to like it "even-more and day-by-day...hahaha..."...Aiyo-yo...erhh...mushy-mushy-lahh...hahaha...!!!

Yup and btw, you may have to get another E-PL1 for your wife liao...hahaha...

hi, can you post a pic of your e-pl1 with the 40-150 attached? i am just wondering how big is it.

by the way, how much is the MMf2 adapter if you buy it separately?

Currently, there are no plans from Olympus SG to offer the MMF2 as an accessory, one can only get it in the E-PL1 bundle.

Hi, I'll be rather busy:sweat: for the next couple of days but I'll try my very best to "squeeze-out", give me some time and post it here, just hang-on for the time being, bro;)

As for MMF-2 things, our very helpful Mod=microcosm:thumbsup: have answered your query...:)

Other than the Panasonic 20mm Pancake lens, which of the panny telezoom capable lens is suitable for the E-PL1 without overkilling it?
thx.

i got to try the e-pl1 because my brother adopted it.

pretty nice camera, i would probably buy it if i had the money and wanted to get rid of my dslr and settle for something lighter.

i wonder how the evf/vf (if available, not sure) is, that would probably be the deal-maker, or breaker. after using a dslr for so long, it doesn't seem easy to go back to using cameras compact-style. old habits die hard.

one very plus point i noted was the ability to go to 60 seconds exposure before doing bulb. very niceeeeee, i wish my k20d had something like that.

I bought one couple weeks ago...I love it!!! I also got the Pan DMW-MA1 adptr and a Zuiko 40-150 f3.5/4.5..I hope to add the Samyang 8mm fisheye and Samyang 85 1.4 when they come out in 4/3rd's mount soon. You can see my kit on my blog... What I really like is that I can dial the flash down( 1/64th if I want!) in manual mode and fire my vivitar and sunpak slave strobes (no preflash...Yeah!!!) You can see my kit progressing on my blog if you like...

The EVF is the exact same one as the ones used on E-P2s, big and bright and sharp

Btw, just to highlight that the front portion are attached with B+W filters which stated "Made in Germany" on each lenses(should've taken it out during shoots:embrass:to reveal the actual length of lenses...but just that little bit of protrusion only should be ok...?)
