With current PwP promotion, you can get the battery grip at $139 and 580EX mk II at $599 on top of the freebies such as 8gb CF card and Messenger bag. The guidebook is only worth to 7D users. Not forgetting 15 months warranty.

Therefore, technically, you are paying less than $2,170 for your 7D if you were to take up the PwP.

Am hoping $2170 is by credit card, so that cash will be cheaper still. ;p

Checked out a few shops in Funan. Challenger has no stock for 7D body,(unless you going for the kit). TK Foto seems to offer the best deal at SGD2170, cash only. The PWP for the accessories are still the same.

Thinking of buying the batt grip at 139, but battery alone costs 120. So the uncle, noticing that im reluctant, gave me 1 week to consider. If i come back within a week, the offer for batt grip PWP still stands.

One friendly advice - all other accessories are optional, but a spare battery is "life-and-death" for your shoots!

No flash? Use tripod.

No remote trigger? Use timer.

No battery? Enjoy the scenery...

And a battery grip makes it more convenient so that you can concentrate on what you are shooting, and not on your camera.

Can you still purchase the battery grip as well? Can I join you? haha. But in response to your question, the 580 EX II is definitely worth it IMHO.

i think the main changes highlighted here are the PwP deals... which in theory shouldnt affect the BnS...

but damn, i regretted buying mine so early 6mths ago...
