"NEW PHOTOGRAPHY AWARD" newly launched by Ballarat International Foto Biennale (BIFB) for the 1st time in 2019.
This award places the focus on young #photographic #artists working throughout the Asia-Pacific region; seeking to find those whose work is beginning to receive critical attention and deserves to be seen by international audiences. A selection of up to 6 #artists will each receive a solo #exhibition within the 2019 core program in a venue alongside other finalists, and receive one-on-one support from #BIFB curators in the realisation of their exhibition.
Eligibility -
The Ballarat International Foto Biennale New Photography Award is open to all photographers aged between 18-40, and living in the #AsiaPacific.
The submitted series must:
- be accompanied by an artistic rationale responding to the 2019 premise of #HelloWorld
- be comprised of 4-25 images
- be a finished project
- have been executed and/or resolved within the year leading up to the deadline for submissions, that is after 1 January 2018
- have not previously been exhibited anywhere in the world
