Thanks for the reply.

I have check with most of the shops on the orginal battery and they range between S$80~S$90, third party ones are S$25~S$35.

Anyway i try using my 450D to take some pics in Chinese Garden last night, i found that the there is a slight problem with the red colour on the pic, it turns out pink instead of red.

Duno if any of you guys encounter such problem.:embrass:

u shoot in jpeg? could b lighting issue?

Yes, in normal jpeg format.
In other words i might have to adjust the white balance?

jus received it ard 3 hrs ago... now still charging batt..... jus to check, what do i have to purchase????

i got 2X4gb Lexar Platinum II, Digital Filter attached onto EFS 18-55IS.... and short of 1 digital filter for my EFS 55-250 IS... bag is given, book is given...

I know i short of 1 dry cabinet and thinking of getting 1 extra battery, what do you guys think???????

Congrats on the new purchase. I strongly recommend an external flash epecially for shooting indoors. With the external flash u will enjoy the power of the DSLR for indoor shoot.

:) James

Thanks for the tip.
Will try out with different settings :)

another thing is to try shooting in RAW. thats what someone told me. u can have better control of the output as RAW is just "what u take is what u get". there is no processing done to change the image in any way. jpeg will have conversion by the built in processor which may affect ur image quality. ;)

Me just bought the 450D two days ago....only the body.

Hope to learn from u guys on getting the best outa it.

Hey guys I'm using 450D too...Great cam and i'm loving it. Let's learn and share tips together...cheers:)

Lets form a 450D newbie club lol

I think that it is a good idea but I think that there is already a thread related to that.

http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=365763&page=7

Maybe we can use that thread to form a 450D club.
How do you all think about that? :)
I have tried the camera for sat and sun.
So far, it serves my need well.
The 50mm F1.8 is really fantastic lens for use although it is the free gift from the extended warranty. It is nice to use for portrait and indoor shoot. Strongly recommended

Hi
A CAnon 450D club sounds great. THere is already a thread going for this. Its at:

Check it out.

Bernard

Hey guys i truly support the idea. lets start a new thread with the name Canon 450D Club. The other threads that i visited seems like not a dedicated ones. Perhaps the word Club on a thread helps. Cheers and upz for 450D...;)

Yup, I agree to that idea.
Btw, this 450D is really quite fantastic to use.
I has used that for my cousin's ROM last Sunday.
The 14 bits RAW file really help to post processing of the image.
But I think that a flash is a need to do some indoor shoots...
Thinking of getting a 430exII in Japan later...

Hi all! I just got my 450D yesterday and it's my very first DSLR. I got the kit lens as well as the EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 and the EF 50mm f/1.8 lenses to start off first :)

I would support a 450D club if one is started. Anyway, just to quickly post a photo I took with the 50mm lens while getting the hang of the camera...so much to learn
