This is a misconception. Don't underestimate 2 megapixel cameras. Properly used, a 2 megapixel camera can generate an image that is capable of printing up to 8x10" (and sometimes bigger).

Even a good 1.5 megapixel file can be printed up to 8x10" without problems.

Basic package... camera, rechargeable litium battery, 8MB CF, connectivity cables & software. You may want to get a larger CF.

Also noticed that the Coolpix 2500 does not have a viewfinder.

Does not help if you wanna conserve your batts!
