Hi everybody,

I have attached a link http://www.geengeld.nl/index.phtml?content=nieuws from a web site I found, when I came across the web site it had the new Minolta SSM lenses on the 'New equipment' page.
So I mailed the shop and got an e-mail back from a member of staff saying, quote--

"We spoke to a AccountManager about this new Lens and he expect that the lens
will be available in the begin of next year. It's not a official
announcement, we hope that we get a official confirm at the end of this
month.

Kind regards,

Unquote!!

So it looks like Minolta are going to release the SSM lenses for real.

Just thought all of you would like to know!!

Hi Paul, the SSM might be available March next year in Singapore. I not sure about Ireland. I am waiting for 28-70mm G lens SSM . :D

Pardon me for my ignorance, what does SSM mean? :)

Hi all.

SSM might be "Super Sonic Motor" or "Silent Sonic Motor".

Definitely not "Slow Slow Motor" or "Super Slow Motor" or "Sometime Sonic Motor".
