Assuming the Japanese power shortage doesn't result in delays.

I think you might have heard wrongly or I said wrongly...

Honestly I have no idea... But it should not be later than Aug/Sept 2011...

Sorry for the wrong info, need to clean my ears out.

I hope the new CV 35mm will kick some ass and cool the ridiculous prices of the Leica 35mm...

0.5mm focal distance is very good news.

aiyah how come CV always dun make chrome lens wan...

I'll stick to the first version. Prices in Japan seems to have crept up and it's quite difficult to even find used ones.

Cheers,

Wonder when will the new lens ever launch... can't wait to lay my hands on it.

The intriguing thing about 0.5m focal length is you can take portraits with 35mm wide angle also!!!

I wonder if face shot will have any distortion. This is very interesting lens lor. If this new lens is 'bang for buck' like nokton 50 1.1 i will be very satisfied and happy coz leica 35mm price so overpriced.

But must price near cz biogon 35 f2.0. That is another close alternative

Even if the lens has little or no barrel or pincushion distortion, there will be a slight wide-angle distortion due to subject distance of the person features.

I can imagine people 'over-focusing' past 0.7m ... hahahaha
