Only works in Nex5N and Nex7. ;(

Nope. Previous nex3/5 will also work with firmware upgrade. That was mentioned by Sony UK Paul Genge during his facebook presentation.

i think i read somewhere that the EVF can only be used with the 5N.

other than that, i should think that the LA-EA2 should be able to work with the C3, 5 and 3 after a firmware update

Yup. I was saying abt LA-EA2.

Dun think you need EVF again on Nex7 right? :)

you can mount another... and have a pair of binoculars! but you would have to have a small head or eyes so close to one another :bsmilie:

Overheard many bros remarks that the EVF really needs BIG eye-cup pads :bsmilie: ...it really looked like it could gorge one's eyes out !

Btw, discussed with a few bros about you during Alpha 4 and now I'm even more confused regarding your gender

Ya... I can't connect it to my Nex3.

Let's wait and see when the next firmware update would come.

Only thing is without SSS...

Wat is SSS? Anyway it has de screw drive as well so all lens can have AF with de NEX, not just SAM/SSM lens.

Super SteadyShot...

Hmmm I tot there is only SSI & OSS...so SSS is sensor shift or optical?

SSI is SteadyShot Inside same as SSS is sensor shifted available in all Sony SLR or SLT hence the lens does not need any optical shift. For NEX, it is opposite when the image stablisation on the lens terms as OSS. Therefore of you use mount adaptor like LA-EA1 or 2, you lose 2 to 4 f stop to counter the shake especially using big lens.

Ya I know wat ssi & oss are, just didn't see de term SSS before. I am using mix of sel & sal lens for my NEX.

Ok. I am using a mix of SEL (1855mm and 16mmf2.8) and SAL Lens (50mmf1.8 and SAL70300). Looking to get SEL18200 from Hong Kong but no luck as it is always out of stocks. (Got friends to get it on a few separate occasions). The new LA-EA2 looks good from the demo video but the pricing is of concern.

My e mount lens same as u. Sal lens are 35/1.8 & 55-200 SAM. But so far haven use de 55-200 before. Sel 18-200 really too huge for me. I just want an sel 16-80 or 105 (with OSS of cos) with a 55mm size max. But I guess de new 16-50/2.8 ssm will have to do. Still not sure abt ea2. Even if I have it, since NEX dun have SSI and sal lens dun have OSS, using sal lenses like 16-105 will mostly be limited to day time/non-low light shooting.
