Hi,
I really appreciate all the replies and insights that you guys have shared, and I must say that up till this point, all views that were represented are absolutely valid....I have learned alot from this forum....and I hope that I can continue to do so.
lowering the cost of a product will possibly entail a compromise in one or more areas of a product's life-cycle and ultimately it's overall quality.(for the sake of this discussion, let's forget about the possible advantages realised as a result of cheaper labour costs....as far as the plants in Thailand is concerned)
Now that could possibly translate to QC processes/materials that came right out of a "Diet Program", which could prove more harm than good.
Perhaps the unsatisfactory experience that I have undergone and shared publicly,in this forum, with my FIRST DSLR, is just one of the many "possible harms" that could inevitable affect consumer confidence.
Perhaps the Dead Pixel on the LCD is something that I have to live with, but i'm sure that dissapointment will ultimately be at the expense of NIKON and more so, with it's retail partners.
Surely.....something can be done about this and indeed there is.....I went down to MS Color today and I got a new D70 Body with a new LCD with ABSOLUTELY NO DEAD PIXELS !!!!......no questions asked, whatsoever !!
Now this is what I mean by "Professionalism in Service". And little did the guys at NIKON know that this particular retail partner have "Done them a favour", at it's own expense. ( and only GOD knows how many times they have done it )
Credit must be given, when it is due.......GOOD JOB, MS COLOR !!!
TWO THUMBS UP !!!!..  ........and like I promised....BIG SMILEYS.....
Nuff Said.......Time to Shoot !!
