and you need 3 years warranty for what? DSLRs keep changing so fast. and if he does get it wet underwater, no amount of warrant will help him - he will still have to pay for repairs.

dun know about underwater casing but if you walk up funan centre to alan photo on 5 floor, they are selling new D50 for 1170, thereabouts - including GST. also throwing in a 1Gb SD card.

If you dun mind second hand - d50 body about 750-800SGD thereabouts - 18-55 kit lens about 100~SGD.
