popeye said:which shop has the most mizuno collection?
Isaiahfortythirtyone said:yea i think i will switch back to mizuno. i find their wave cushioning to be da best  saucony is also another good brand. i boycott all nike products. and i don't believe in adidas and reebok and fila (those uber commercialised brands) for genuine running shoes.
season shoes? i thought running shoes have a lifespan of 500km only?

Recently, I switch shop to Running Lab at Funan Center. They give me 20% discount because I 'sort-off' trained their staff on shoes technology and how select the ideal running shoes for different foot type.
denniskee said:well, you did a very good job in the training their staff.

no problem at all, now in NB 719.
finished a full-marathon last year (NB 717), and preparing for a half-marathon this year.

BTW, New Balance running shoes were made popular by our current Prime Minister (A long-time patron of New Balance Tech Shop at the old Plaza Singapura). He wore NB 990 since his BG years (I saw him running at Khatib camp a few times). About 10 years ago, he proposed to Mindef to change all PT shoes to NB.
Isaiahfortythirtyone said:saucony is good also. but i really am dissed when some people come up to me and say "eee...what brand of shoes are those?must be lousy ones." :sweatsm: :bsmilie: dunno whether to laugh or cry
Isaiahfortythirtyone said:you can try feder sports at peninsula plaza. or the larger RSH's will have a good range too altho they're more ex
Isaiahfortythirtyone said:i just got a NB 1060 men's shoe for running from queensway. acutally i got it some time ago but haven' used it till now cos was waiting to phase out my old shoe.
anyway, when i used it, it was the most horrible running shoe i've ever used. it's supposed to be a cushioning shoe but it felt as though i was running barefoot! my knees and ankles ached after just 4 km.
does anyone own the 1060? can you share your experience with the 1060 or NB shoes in general? i usually use saucony and mizuno and this is the first time i've tried NB.
i paid top dollar for a top end shoe and i'm suspecting it's a fake.![]()
