Try the Minolta website under software, or contact your local Minolta distributor or sales office.

There is no driver. If you are using a reasonably modern operating system, (Me, 2k, XP, Mac OS later than 9, Linux...) you don't need one.

The camera is a USB mass storage device - as far as the computer is concerned it's a USB hard drive.

There is something in the manual about removing various windows drivers and letting the OS redetect it in the case of problems. The manual IS online, I downloaded the PDF before I bought the camera.

The CD also contains a program to 'convert' the raw format. (Forget its same, never used it).

I've only looked briefly at the CD, I use Linux so the supplied programs are of little use to me.

From memoru there is a driver for Windows 95, that gives that OS a USB mass storeage driver, but the manual also recomends against using it.

my 7i will only arrive by end of this week, I hope It work in my Win98 or XP..
I'll love to try some raw too, but that will need the "Minolta Image Viewer Utility" as you said.. well.. dono the canon "RAW Image Converter" from my G2 will work boh.??. but I don't think so..
I'll go down to Minolta@Funan tml, see if any extra help available

It'l just work with those OS's. I think I've plugged it into an XP machine and had it 'just work'. I only remember testing a MacOSX machine.

There are other MRW converters around, the format has been decoded, but trying to get a DIVU CD out of Minolta might be better, although they may charge you for it.

Doubt it . Almost certainly they have a completely different format - even their colour filter in front of the CCD is probably different, and a RAW converter needs to know that kind of thing.

they said I only need to bring a long a blank CDR and they'll copy for me...
