Hi fellows, I'm intending to purchase a 3rd-party adapter thread for my DiMage Z3(waited rather long for OEM version), & I need some model recommendations, price, & locations to purchase them. Preferably those recommendations should be versions that are tested to work with the Z3.

& I'll need something which can protect the lenses from external elements. I have the impression that a polariser can accomplish this, & I'll need some advise(like those info I'll need for the adapter thread) in this area too.

Thanks in advance.

For the lens protecting part, I'll reccomend a skylight or UV filter instead of a polariser. For one, Polariser cuts the amount of light that gets into your camera, and the main purpose of the polariser is actually polarise the light getting to your camera, i.e. only allows light propagating in one 'conformation' to pass through. In photography, it's used to reduce glare/reflection from surfaces, increase saturation of green and the sky etc... But due to some unwanted effects, such as appearance of rainbow color on some plastics etc etc, it's not advice to have polariser on all the time, on top of the lost of light when polariser is on.

p/s: polarised light are also used in other fields such as in microscopy which allows better visualisation of crystals etc...

if you need to protect the lens, just use the UV protector will do. Poloriser filter is only used when you need to cut off glass reflection, shooting through glass (i.e. when u are in a bus) or you need better contrast when shooting in bright conditions (i.e. increase contrast in the bright sky).
for adaptor tube, you can get it at any shop in Sim Lim. AP should have it. alternative, saw someone selling at ebay singapore. if int, can take a look.
good luck!

...but recently(last Sunday) when I approach 1 of the staff at AP, they told me they do not have OEM(KM) or 3rd-party adapter threads for the Z3. I was like, 'huh? even 3rd party 52mm/55mm version also dun've ah?', but I didn't probe further.

...their collection of tripods also seem to be quite limited...but perhaps I have no luck with customer service that particular day bahz...

Eh...how come my post appear under Darr's name?
