There are few things need to hear from you.

1. In term of size which one is more bulky.
the Rayovoc 1 hour charger
or the MW 4798 ?

2. Is the MW 4798 still available at mustafa ?

3. In your opinion which is a better deal. Personally , i like the 1-hour-speed , but i was told that the MW 4798 is more gentle to batteries and much compatible.. Rayovoc user.. any comment ?

4. In term of price :embrass:

#2: Yes. It's available at the "old" Mustafa, at the batteries counter.

Mind to tell.. where is "OLD" mustafa.. if it is not the big store mustafa

It's actually the main building ;P

Cos the other time I went with an Indian Muslim friend, he was like asking me which Mustafa I wanted to go, and I was like "Huh? I thought there's only one Mustafa??!!"

LOL

The "new" mustafa is just around the corner, but seems somewhat smaller to me.

Cheers. :D

1) Both charger about the same except that Rayovac's adapter is quite heavy.

2) I suppose it's still available.

3) Not much issue with compatibiliy since both are intelligent charger. They should perform the same other than the speed. Rayovac has no discharge capability though.

4) Of course Rayovac is more expensive. You might want to check out Rayovac promotion here

Anyway, MW 4798 is not much of a competitor to Rayovac, maybe it's "brother", MW 4798N prove much more for the Rayovac. But current market, Rayovac and GP Smart 1 hour charger still rules. :)

I called Mustapha (don't know old or new), but MW4798,MW4798N & MW5798 all out of stock. Anyone has any idea where else I can find one in Singapore??

Try here. They're the 1st to bring in this charger.

I have the MW5798 which I bought some weeks ago and only used once, before switching to Rayovac. The Rayovac charges much faster c.1 hr but heats up the batteries a lot, while the MW5798 charges the batteries more gently. If you're not the impatient type/the type who needs to charge lots of batteries, then go for the MW ones. I'm selling my MW5798 for $25 (original price $28) if you're interested.

Yes, thanks. Will email separately.

Sorry just cleared my PM box. Didn't realise I had a whole lot of sent messages!

No sweat, will PM again

But the price listed on web site is much expensive than it was on shelf. ( 29.9 USD...)
