So, does anyone know what's the cost of this lens locally? And where is it available?

For that amount, I rather buy a 400mm F4.5 with a 2X tele convertor. Use to "shoot" bird.

Most len are black. So, imagine someone holding a white huge len. Like you owning a white elephant. Don't know about Minolta also KP and ask how much. So, once they know the price of the len, they should know how rich you are. ;p

Its about S$3k including shipping, not S$4.2K. So, go get it and tell us how you find it. Anyway, I'm not surprised a few of these lens are in Singapore. After all, only a fraction of Minolta users are in Clubsnap. Just look at the no. of units of D7D which got snapped up and only how many are from Clubsnap.

Well, Think willy foo met a gang of Minolta with whites back at the aero show... There are more Minolta users in Singapore than mets the clubsnap... Now I'll have to do some maths about this lens...
