Need Help Processing

Decided to try out infrared photography, so I bought a Hoya R72 and happily tested it out just now taking a couple of random shots. I read a number of guides beforehand and followed them (setting a custom white balance using green leaves under shade). However, I have 2 questions:

1) Why are my leaves still green? I thought green should be out of the spectrum already?

2) I cannot convert them in ACR. This is what's on the back of my camera (similar):

This is what's in ACR:

I have tried to follow the guide here to set a custom profile but I can't get what I see in the camera even after -100 to both temperature and tint (or any values at all). I also tried to follow the guide here but I have no idea where to export the profile to.

ok... I found where to export to (%appdata%\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles), so my 2nd question is solved.

But I can't get the leaves to be white haha. It looks more like a reddish ND filter to me, the foilage is not bright at all lol.

Is the sunlight strong when you took the pic? Try taking under strong sunlight.

yes, it's under the 12pm sun. Super hot haha.

Someone in FB told me that it's due to a lack of exposure timing. So I went to shoot again this morning, lengthening the exposure timing (now f4, 30s, ISO800) until the pic looks almost wash out. But the trees are still green =.=

Do I have a faulty Hoya R72?

EDIT:
Holy ****! I use my 5D3 instead of my 550D to shoot and there's no green trees! Here's the shot out of my window, out of the camera:

Should this be the kind of colours I should be expecting out of the camera? That means I can't shoot IR with my 550D and R72? :(

I also discovered something, it doesn't work with my 5D3 + Sigma 10-20 also, nor does it work with my 70-200 f4 IS either. I only get this image with my 5D3 + 24-70 f2.8 II. :( No, it doesn't work with 550D + 24-70 f2.8 II either.

But I still have no idea how to make the trees white... haha

Can you re-do your setting of custom white balance using green leaves under the sun instead of the shade?

Once I set my custom white balance under the sun inside the Cloud Forest at Garden by the Bay and then took infrared pictures outside of the air-conditioned environment, I could not get the effect I want. I have to re-set my custom white balance under the sun.

Then everything works out ok again.
