Need help on digi cabi .

i dont wanna turn too much to the (red side) becos im afraid the RH value might go too low.. ill check again once im awake.. if not then ill turn it nearer to the red area.
Again: stop being afraid, for your own good. Your camera will not crumple to dust in low RH or dissolve into a puddle if kept too humid for a day. If it's too low, just turn the knob a bit towards green. If it makes you feel better, just open the door and let 'fresh (read: humid) air' in.

i guess its working fine now.. it went to 45% last night. so i started to dump my stuff in..then it went up to 55% now its 42%.
^^

everytime your door is open, outside 'humidity' will get in; so your % will go up, it is normal . . .

Just after setting the meter, your RH will not drop immediately like magic. It would need to take some time... my dry cabinet took around two days to stabilise but that was two years ago. I think technology had moved on and it might not be as bad as then.

It will stabilize a lot faster if you have AC and you turn it on. Just a couple of hours will do.

Hi, i am a newbie here thinking of getting a dry cabinet. Is digicabi giving alot of problem???

Whether the analog or digital series... they both have a digital attitude: they work or don't. Simple as that. In case of the latter the service centre is at Tagore Lane and many have reported a quite simple and hassle free service. They don't even ask you to bring in the cabinet, just bring the dehumidifier component (lose 4 screws).

Just go for it! The 30L is cheap.. $80 from our classifieds here. 2nd hand.

Digi cabi?? Get it directly from them instead. They'll deliver to you for those above 50L. If you're not planning to get any more lenses in future, 30L should be enough. But if you're planning to keep shooting, usually 50L is better. :) don't have to change cabis so soon and can save time. :)

We have Price Guides for a reason. On top you find the list of reputable shops. You will notice that only 2 shops of Sim Lim are listed, reason being that most others are just con shops, out to chop unknowing people. Call the shops listed in the Price Guide. Some offer equotes per email, honoured for 7 days.
