Hi Forumer,

I need your help urgently. Recently i've accidentally switch off my dry cabinet. After 2 days only i realised it. When i switch it on the digi meter (top right hand side was no display) but the power light is on. Unfortunately i've mis-placed my manual for this unit. As i remember there'a a few step to activate this dry cabinet. Appreciate if you could assist to email me the manual & tell me how to set up this dry cabinet. The detail/photo of this model as follows:
Dry-cabi (made in singapore)
DB-036
30L

I've purchased this unit from one of the camera supp shop in Suntec CIty (cant remember the shop names)

Really need your help guys....

There is a dial inside of your digicab, just turn it clockwise or anticlockwise and I think you should get the display back telling you the current humidity % and temperature.

The display runs on a AAA battery and not off the mains. There is a battery compartment behind the display. The dehumidifying unit and the display runs independently of each other.

Turn the dial clockwise to get the humidifier going, turn it back anti-clockwise to adjust once the humidity has reached your desired level.

For the display, you gotta check your battery behind the LCD display.

thanks everyone. WIll do as suggested. But what's the suggested humidity % and temperature?

Its about 50-60% humidity for cameras.

If no display menas replace battery in the display unit. Nothing to do with the dehumidifier.

I just got my digicab yesterday and also had the same "problem", the battery was new but there was no display when I switched on the plug.

The situation was resolved when I turned the dial clockwise/anticlockwise and then the display appeared.

40-50% good for those who takes the stuff out every week. Any long term storage best to be 50-60%. Anything lesser, the grease inside will drys up and you will have more problem later.

If you buy non pro model (without knob to set humidity from outside the dry cab), the humidity display and the de-humidifier unit is not connected. The display for humidity run on its own battery (usually 1 single AA).

Recommended by Dry-Cabi (as stated on their manual) for photography gears is 40-50%RH.

Glad hear you solved the problem.

In my dry cabi, the RED LED is full on, and the GREEN LED is dim. That's the setting for about 40-50%RH.

You need to trial and error the setting of knob. Usually for digi-cabi dry cab is around 9o'clock position. On that position, the GREEN LED will be dimmed.

Check first, knob fully turn to left, the GREEN LED will be off, knob fully turn to right, the GREEN LED will be on. If that's right, set around 9o'clock.

artho, thanks for the tips.
