need help -adobe after effects users / video editors

hello, im currently using adobe after effects CS4, im editing a 3x 9 minutes videos, and i want it to put it all together in 1 video file with some minor effects and transitions,

video size is 520px x 347 px

my system -

- Windows XP Pro
- HP intel core 2 Quad CPU Q9300 2.5GHz
- 4GB ram
- 500 GB HD
- GR515AV - NVIDIA Quadro FX570 256MB PCIe Graphics Card

heres the scenario -
-everytime after i saved the file the application instatnly quits or hangs or file crashes! its a pain in head really!,

-Ram preview rendering is damn slow (sometimes it apllication also quits while rendering)
-
-i suspect its my graphic card (not good enough) -any advice what graphic card will i use?

can anyone help me about this problem,

At such a small size, it should not crash..
Graphic card will not cause the crash unless AE error shows an error with the OpenGL driver.
Does it crash when you render? Do a render and then check you render logs. everything info is there.. best is paste here..


You can try purging all the caches in edit>purge and emptying the database in preferences.
or trashing the AE preference file and re open AE.. though I suspect it is some driver somewhere..
or it could be the codecs of your source videos.. best to convert them as they are not designed for AE so might cause issues..
