Need filter info: "B+W 44E"

Hi,

I got this yellow filter of 44mm size and I am not sure what camera it fits. On the net, it seems some Leica lens. Anyone has any idea?

The engraved description on the filter reads "B+W 44E 022 2x".
What does the "022 2x" means?

2x = filter effect of 2

The filters do cost alot of money to purchase.
Perhaps it is the least they can do.
